Psychosocial evaluation service for the homologation of incapacity mandates
Regardless of the form it takes, an incapacity mandate is only binding after it has been homologated — or approved — by a court of law, in other words, once it has been examined by a court clerk or by the Superior Court Judge in the judicial district where the principal resides.
Psychosocial evaluation required
Any initiative to file a motion with the Court to obtain the homologation of any document falls exclusively upon the authorized agent. The motion must be accompanied by medical and psychosocial evaluations that declare the incapacity of the principal. These evaluations must be carried out by professionals.
Servirplus' social workers have the required skills to carry out the psychosocial evaluations required by the Court in order that it may homologate a mandate. Please don’t hesitate to call us. We have offices all across the Province of Quebec. You will find our contact information at the bottom of this page.
Psychosocial evaluation service for international adoptions
Anyone who wishes to adopt a child living outside of the Province of Quebec is required, by the Civil Code of Quebec, to undergo a psychosocial evaluation and the prerequisites for such an evaluation are stipulated in the Youth Protection Act. The psychosocial evaluation enables the people in charge of the adoption, both in the Province of Quebec and in the country of origin of the child, to ensure the adoptive parent's capacity to meet the physical, psychological and social needs of the child.
Servirplus' social workers have the required skills to conduct such a psychosocial evaluation, as required by the Province's regulations. This service is available all across the Province of Quebec.
